Purple Polyp Gonipora

Gonipora is often called the flower pot coral. This colony stony coral is often found in Lagoons, and turbid water areas. They have a daisy like shape that extend outward from the base, and each head is tipped with 24 stingging tentacles. Gonipora is a sensitive coral that can be very sensitive to contact. This is one of the more difficult corals to keep.
